On classic Kawasaki dual-sports like the KLR250 and KLR650, the factory plastic handlebar choke lever (#46092-1123) is highly vulnerable to impact damage. Because it sits completely exposed on the handlebars, the original plastic tab routinely snaps off during a standard tip-over, trail fall, or branch strike. When the lever breaks, operating the choke plunger becomes incredibly difficult.
