R3PRINT MOTO
Keeping classic motorcycle history alive by re-engineering and reproducing NLA parts with 3D-printing technology.
Our Story
The story of R3print Moto isn’t complicated. It’s the story of one project bike, many hours in the garage and the struggle many classic motorcycle owners know. For me, it started during COVID with a 1983 Honda XL600R burning oil. I had no real mechanical experience, but I dove in. Fixing the top end quickly turned into a full, three-year long nut and bolt restoration.
That restoration taught me many lessons, but one stuck out the most. Finding quality spare parts is hard. My search for parts can be summarized as a mix of luck, endless browsing and a willingness to pay a premium. It was especially difficult when I wanted to improve on parts rather than just replace them or needed a custom solution.
That’s when I learned about 3D printing. I started by prototyping a single part for my Honda. However the process of actually getting it 3D printed was cumbersome. Commercial prototyping services were far too expensive for just a single prototype and connecting with hobbyists who had 3D printers brought other challenges.
Ultimately, I shared my work online and the response from the XL community was positive. From then on people began reaching out with requests: to help them re-engineer parts that were completely gone from the market. They wanted to be back on the road, not stuck browsing forums and marketplaces. Sounds relatable?
I found that the real obstacle of keeping a classic on the road isn’t just the lack of parts in itself, but the absence of alternative solutions. This led to the founding of R3print Moto. We aim to present those alternative solutions and make them widely available.
Our business is built on one simple idea: “Preserving Motorcycle Legacy”. Your passion for your classic bike shouldn’t be stopped by a single missing part.

About Me
I’ve spent years working hands-on in the garage, completing the full restoration of my own Honda XL600R. That project, documented in detail in my restoration thread on the Dutch XL forum, kickstarted my enthusiasm for classic motorcycles and everything involved in keeping them running.
My background as a Dutch equivalent of a Certified Public Accountant, combined with the lessons learned during that restoration, informs how I now approach 3D printing. Every part I design is approached methodically, with precision and attention to detail, ensuring that what I create is both functional and durable.

The R3 Icon
The ‘3’ in our name isn’t just for show. It is a reference to the 3D printing technology we use and the three core pillars we operate on: Re-engineering, Replication, and Reliability. Our focus is on offering precise, durable, and on-demand produced spare parts based on community needs. Every request helps us grow our library of digital blueprints. A growing archive that will ultimately ensure these classic components never truly disappear.
Our Way of Working
Every part we create starts with a story. Yours. It’s that moment you realize the part you need is either beyond repair or no longer available. That’s where we come in. Request a Reprint for your NLA part!
For each new part in our catalogue we begin with re-engineering the design. We take the original, often worn-out component and use advanced scanning and design software to build a new digital blueprint. This isn’t just a copy of the old part; it’s an opportunity to improve it. Using new insights and modern materials that weren’t available decades ago, we ensure your Reprint is even more durable than the original.
After the blueprint is perfected, we move on to the final step: 3D printing. Your part is produced on our professional-grade printers, using only the best engineering-grade materials available. Our equipment and materials are chosen to create parts that are equal or more durable than the originals. Whether you need fairings, small clips, or covers, the final product is built to last.
After printing each part is personally inspected, carefully packed, and sent on its way. For us, this isn’t just about printing parts; it is about preserving the incredible history your classic motorcycle embodies and joy it brings for you and the next generation of enthusiasts.

Our Promise
Because we stand by our process and the quality of our Reprints, we offer a Lifetime Guarantee on every part we sell. It’s our promise that if a part fails, we’ll replace it. Period. We believe your passion for riding shouldn’t be limited by the availability of a single component – and it shouldn’t be limited by the quality of its replacement either.
